The Committee on Health held its 1st Committee Meeting for the new term on July 23, 2025, attended by department heads and representatives from various offices. The discussion focused on the proposed ordinance granting a gratuity incentive to all qualified and accredited Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) in the City of Bayawan. The Committee confirmed that budget allocation for this proposal is not an issue. However, during the deliberation, members noted the need for clarity and refinement on specific provisions of the proposed ordinance, particularly regarding its scope, guidelines, and implementation details. As a result, the Committee unanimously agreed to return the proposal to the proponent for revisions and further clarification. The revised ordinance will be scheduled for review at the next committee meeting.
