Public Hearing

A Public Hearing was conducted by the Sangguniang Panlungsod on the proposed ordinance establishing the administrative use of an “Undertaking on Source and Lawful Transport of Fishery Products” as a supplemental documentary requirement for the receipt, acceptance, and monitoring offishery products originating from local government units without functional auxiliary invoice issuance mechanisms.

The proposed measure aims to strengthen the monitoring and verification of fishery products entering the city by providing an alternative documentary requirement to ensuretheir lawful source and transport. It also seeks to enhance regulatory compliance, promote accountability among stakeholders, and support sustainable fisheries management and consumer protection.
