Rolando B. “Lando” Abrasaldo is a respected City Councilor in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental, representing the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC). In the May 2025 elections, he secured his council seat by placing fifth, earning 23,079 votes—demonstrating solid support from the electorate. Abrasaldo’s political career began in the 2022 elections, during which he first won a seat on the Sangguniang Panlungsod. That victory marked the start of an active term centered on local governance, legislative policy, and community development. Among his notable civic engagements, he was present at the inauguration of the San Jose–Bugay Water Treatment Facility in April 2021, held in Barangay Bugay. As City Councilor, he joined officials from the Bayawan Water District in celebrating improvements to the city’s water infrastructure—vital for enhancing public health and resilience following Typhoon Quinta. In his current role, Councilor Abrasaldo actively contributes to crafting local ordinances, approving infrastructure projects, and ensuring municipal revenue generation. His efforts support business licensing, technical regulations, and public service delivery across Bayawan. Known for his collaborative spirit and hands-on approach, Abrasaldo enjoys strong backing from both his party and constituents. After two consecutive terms, he continues to be a key voice in framing policies that drive Bayawan’s sustainable growth and civic welfare.
